My first blog! How exciting! My terrible formatting is allowed for the first one ever - what am I doing? I shouldn't have to explain myself.
Anyway...I'm kick starting my publishing career on a real grown up issue – Jobs, Occupations or Money Making, depending on how you define yourself.
So I’m getting all blogged up because I’m unemployed and do nothing with my life. It wasn’t always like that. I did university for a bit. However, I only did that because at 18 I wasn’t ready to work full time. Now I’m 21 and my course is over and surprise, surprise I’m still not ready to do that full-time thing that everyone else is doing.
Don’t get me wrong there are some good motivators to working.
#1. Not being poor. I can however proudly hold my head up high and say I’m not a 'doll bludger!' My parents completely fund me. Woah! Ease up! I might be sucking the parents dry but they will miss me far too much when I'm gone, so I guess I'm doing them a favour. I also do have other money! Also hard earnt money - from the recent goldmine that was my 21st. That should fund some of my Perth holiday in Feb, ahhhhhh such a hard life.
#2. Well I'm sure I'll come up with one soon enough.
I started looking at jobs. And by looking I mean Googling. So I guess I haven’t. Oh but I have… like I will.
I relied too heavily on the expectation that I would fail a subject and return in 2012. Now when I look at it I should have done so! I’m too young to have a degree it just doesn’t suit me.
People constantly ask me; “So what did you do?” (The answer then follows a bunch of questions as apparently that’s not a definitive answer like nursing or teaching.)
Me: Business.
Person: Oh so what does that make you?
Me: Umm… a business person. Yes I am now qualified to hold a briefcase, wear a suit and drink coffee.
YOUR THE BEST, RACH. xx
Proud to be sheep number 1. Love your work, Rachol. Bad spelling and all. xo
