Movie Buffing

Firstly, hey Sheepies!! I’m sorry you only heard from me once last week, but due to some reasons far too deep for my bloggy mc-blog blog I only did one. As a result my blog will not be doubly long, I have had complaints about length. I figure, those people can stop. You people may as well leave now… I don’t mind… I’ve got my page view… You’ve done your job! You’ve boosted my stats. I don’t even care. I’m not offended. I can take it, yes constructive criticism duly noted and duly ignored.

I thought a good topic would be movies. The reason is because I said so.

So last night I watched a movie, ‘Beautiful Boy.’ It’s about hubby and wifey whose kid goes off to college. Then without any warning goes to school and shoots a bunch of students (17 actually) and then shoots himself. The movie is from the parents (who didn’t know there Son was a crazy motherfucker) perspective. Interesting perspective! I liked the idea of it anyway… the Dad could have been hotter but the Mum she was alright. I give it a pear and a half (Thanks editor Jo).

I should mention I have decided to rate movies by fruits;

•        1 star = Banana. A disgusting, filthy, unenjoyable fruit.
•        2 stars =   Pear. Not the best, a nothing fruit but eatable (viewable really, would not pay $13 to go to the cinema but watchable).
•          3 stars = Apple. Solid, standard fruit.
•          4 stars = Watermelon. Lovely and juicy but when consumed in excess can hurt your belly.
•          5 stars = Strawberry. Nom, nom, nom.

So it’s a pretty straight forward system. I can see it catching on in movie review world.

Now these movies I believe are the best of their categories and if you haven’t seen them go and see them, hunt them down and watch them and if you’ve already seen them… Watch them again.

•         Dumb Humour movie; The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang - Download it instantly!
•     LOL Movie; Anchor Man – ‘I’m in a glass case of emotion’
•          Somewhat Educational Movie – The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
•          Comical Horror Movie – Scream 1, 2, 3 and 4. [which reminds me Andrew you still have my scream DVDs, not a quote just a fact]
•          Not Real but should be Movie – Hop
•          Christmas Movie – National Lampoons Christmas vacation
•          PG, recommended Parental Guidance – Mrs Doubtfire and Hook. It’s a tie. Both were greatly watched. Recorded off free-to-air, analog TV. On VHS and fast forwarded through the ads.

…and congratulations to the other fellow nominees, but your poo just like the following bananas;

•          Dumb Humour Movie – The Date Movie

•          They wished the messed my mind movie – I can’t remember the title but if was a Wednesday movie that went for 3 hrs and didn't end. Well it stopped but mid story and I can remember was how I made myself stay up because there has to be a great ending and being very disappointed and tiered the next day, must have been when I had to get up and go somewhere. Like when I had a life.
•          Christmas Movie – A Christmas Carol worst $16 of my life. Yes 3D made it no better. I knew we should have seen Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

So if you need any movies watched and reviewed let me know and I’ll give you a fruit. Choose wisely and make it apple >. OH and… no movies which require captions, musical lines, Nicole Kidman or have supernatural themes – particularly vampires (I only like Buffy because she was a vampire slayer).
